Agrivoltaic park of Yzeure (03)
Photosol has developed an agrivoltaic installation at Yzeure in the Allier region in partnership with...
Since 2008, Photosol has developed its expertise in agrivoltaics, initially in synergy with sheep farming, and later expanding its solutions to cattle and poultry farming. Today, we tailor our installations to the specific needs of various sectors, whether for sheep, cattle, or poultry farming, in line with industry recommendations and quality labels such as Label Rouge and IGP.
To date, over 540 hectares are either under development or already integrated, bringing tangible agronomic benefits: calmer animals, more abundant pastures, and more profitable operations.
For sheep farming, our agrivoltaic structures are designed with a minimum height of 1.5 meters, allowing easy passage for the animals. They provide shelter against weather challenges such as heat and hail, while being adapted to extensive or rotational grazing systems.
Cattle benefit from structures with a minimum height of 2.40 meters, specifically designed to accommodate their passage. We offer various types of structures, such as controllable trackers, canopies, or vertical panels, to meet the specific needs of each project.
Our poultry canopies are ideal for poultry farming, providing smooth movement of animals beneath the solar panels. Their height is adjusted according to the recommendations of Synalaf.
Structures tailored to your project: fixed structures, poultry canopies, controllable trackers.
Low land footprint minimizing the impact on the pasture and maximizing the space allocated for livestock.
Landscape-oriented panels for better water distribution.
Spacing and height of solar tables adjusted for your comfort and that of the animals.
Protection of pastures against extreme weather events.
Improvement of animal welfare through shading and shelter during bad weather.
Equipment for the plots (mobile fences, water troughs, handling pens, etc.).
No impact of the agrivoltaic installation on the behavior of sheep, according to the study conducted by IDELE (study of general behavior, body condition, and circadian cycle).
Study on plant dynamics conducted with INRAE and JPEE. Our agrivoltaic parks help maintain high-quality grass growth throughout the year. See the study report
Weight gain in lambs observed in the study conducted by the Chamber of Agriculture of Nièvre.
A decrease of about 4°C under the panels during the hottest hours.
