Photovoltaic shade structure in the Petit Prince park (68)

The project

The project developed by Photosol for the Petit Prince amusement park in Ungersheim is a brilliant example of technological innovation and landscape integration. The installation of photovoltaic canopies arranged in a rosette pattern, with a total installed capacity of 2.3 MWp, marks a turning point in the local energy transition and symbolizes the park’s ecological commitment.

A Significant Energy Impact

  • Energy production: The installation generates the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of the municipality of Ungersheim, approximately 2,330 inhabitants.
  • Energy autonomy: The park produces twice as much energy as it consumes, becoming a model of energy self-sufficiency and a key player in the region’s energy transition.

An Innovative Design and Successful Landscape Integration

  • Rosette design: This original design harmonizes with the park’s dreamlike theme and design, evoking a solar system, in line with the overall vision of the Petit Prince.
  • Adaptation to the site: Engineers successfully overcame the site’s constraints to integrate the 36 canopies seamlessly into the landscape.
  • Visibility from the air: The installation enhances the visual experience offered by the park’s hot air balloons, showcasing the technological and ecological aspects of the region.

This project demonstrates Photosol’s ability to design innovative solutions with high environmental and aesthetic value, while actively contributing to the energy transition. It serves as an inspiring model for other parks and similar infrastructures.
