Photovoltaic roofing in Lartigue (32)

The project

Antonin, a young passionate farmer, chose to take over and diversify the family farm after obtaining a professional license in livestock farming. While continuing the traditional activity of producing foie gras ducks, he introduced a herd of Gascon cattle and Causses du Lot sheep to raise calves and lambs.

As part of the development of his business, Antonin decided to build new agricultural buildings. These structures address several needs: providing a comfortable shelter for the animals, ensuring the storage of equipment, and integrating a renewable energy project. By installing photovoltaic panels on the roofs of these buildings, Antonin becomes a producer of green electricity.

This innovative choice not only diversifies his income sources through the sale of the produced energy, but also actively contributes to the energy transition. This project is fully aligned with his vision of a sustainable and long-lasting future for his farm.

« Taking over the family farm was an ideal opportunity to diversify it and ensure a sustainable future. By constructing new buildings, I decided to install photovoltaic panels. This decision allowed me to produce green energy, secure my income by reselling the electricity, while reducing the farm’s ecological footprint. This project is part of my desire to prepare a sustainable future for the farm, while contributing to the energy transition. »
